Big Selfie Stick, 2016

 

 

In 2013 the world discovered the "sefie stick" and in 2014 the Times magazine considered it to be one of the best 25 inventions that year. Around the same period and in the years to come, selfie sticks became almost omnipresent near touristic attractions but also in family or friends' gatherings. The performances triggered by such device quickly became an interesting thing to watch.

According to the Cambridge dictionary, the selfie stick is a long device that you can attach to your mobile phone. In this project, I explore the question: how long the device is or can be? And what happens if we push its length to an absurd extreme?
